I woke up, with open eyes I saw a world of faces
Some looked at me with broken smiles then we traded places
In the far reaches of their minds I saw their bold intentions
Sought to hold me captive
In a world of catastrophic rage
Unfair, but I don't care
I knew my time was comming
Is it not enough that they put me down?
They conned me with their cunning charm
And all the while the plastic smiles
on their faces running
Enemies left standing
All the rest fall away
I'm young, leave me alive
To face this catastrophe –
I sleep, and in my dreams I see a planet rising
A world where all the people do what's right, and hold me
in their loving arms
Then suddenly I wake up cold, and the dream is over
Looking out my window into the fog of man
With all the weak left standing, well I'm not meek
but I'm inheiriting the earth
I'm young, leave me alive
To face this catastrophe
